UK DECAY ANNOUNCEMENT

We plan to record a new album, can you help?

So, just as it took years for our one album to turn up on CD, next year will see a second join For Madmen Only. Yep, you read that right - a brand new UK Decay album with all new, unreleased tracks is currently being written! Recording is set to begin at the end of February and we'll be working with Chris Tsangarides; producer extraordinaire and master of all the dark arts.

However, we need your help to get it out and as such would ask if you could visit Band Pledge at www.pledgemusic.com/projects/ukdecay where you'll find out more - and get to see some of the great exclusives we're offering.

Every week, we'll email a free download from the vaults - be that a track from a Peel session, a song from an old rehearsal, an unheard live recording or a 2012 re-mix by Mr. Spontaneous himself.

You'll get those for free, but by visiting the Band Pledge site you'll see some great things we're offering to pledgers; including the last remaining test pressing of For Madmen Only signed by the band, the chance to sing backing vocal with us at a gig in 2012, the chance to drink our rider backstage, T-shirts, music and much more.
We're also going to give a percentage of the funds to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, to help them carry on her name.

We have just heard that the 'Black December' Keighley gig on Saturday 10^th December 2011 has been postponed until next year due to a combination of factors. UK Decay would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience incurred - this matter is beyond the bands control.

We recommend ticketbuyers return to sellers for refund. We shall update as soon as more info comes in..

UK Decay announce a three date mini-tour of northern Germany, April 24, 25 and the 26th.

The shows kick off on Saturday April 24 in Berlin at the Slaughterhouse, followed on Sunday April 25 at Hamburg Hafenklang. On Monday April 26 it is Hannover Bei Chez Heinz.

UK Decay have not visited any of these cities for 28 years but played 2009's WGT festival.
Back in the former period in the years 1980-82, UK Decay regularly played various venues in Berlin and Hamburg.

UK DECAY CLASS OF 1979 - 1989 REUNION's

The Class-Reunion party's were hosted by the UK Decay Community
website. To date there have been 3 events:- UK Decay performed
one song For My Country, at the second reunion in 2007 and went on to
play a thirty minute set at the third reunion in June 2008.

UK Decay Italian Tour 2009

UK Decay to play Italy

Spring 2009 Italian dates now confirmed....

Milan Musicdrome, 30th April.

Bologna Covo 1st May.

Rome Init on 2nd May.

UK Decay are now in the process of arranging a number of gigs in the UK and overseas.with further dates in the process of being confirmed. The band will appear in Italy for the first time in its history, playing Milan Musicdrome on the 30th April 2009, Bologna Covo Club on the 1st May and at the Rome Init Club on the 2nd May.

‘We’re really looking forward to finally getting to Italy,’ said Spon, ‘we tried to play there first time around but never managed it for various reasons. We’ve been told that there is still a big interest in the band and I’m hoping that we get the same positive response as we received at the Drop Dead Festival. We had a small UK contingent in Portugal, and if anyone from blighty fancies a few days in the Italian sun it would be great to see you.’

Even though nothing is concrete yet, the band hope to soon be in the position of announcing a central London date hopefully in the late spring/early summer, plus other UK gigs.

‘Last year’s reunion took so much time to arrange that we’re probably not going to arrange
another one until 2010, so we’re planning to use the UK gigs as a chance of getting everyone together this year,’ added Spon.
